Daniel Millstein, PhD
Dr. Millstein is a clinical psychologist working in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed his PhD at Suffolk University, including a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. He went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester specializing in functional neurological disorders and completing a post-degree certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy.
His clinical and research interests include integrative treatments for traumatic stress disorders and functional neurological disorders. He has also worked on projects related to mindfulness and acceptance-based cognitive and behavioral therapies. He has training in cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and some trauma-focused (e.g. EMDR, IFS) approaches.
Dr. Millstein enjoys the collaborative and creative aspects of psychotherapy, as well as the blend of science, art, and human interaction.
