Rivian Lewin, PhD

Within the context of a warm and collaborative therapeutic alliance, Dr. Rivian Lewin helps clients clarify their values and gain skills to improve the way they handle their most unwanted thoughts and emotions. “I tailor treatment to each individual and focus on guiding clients to enact meaningful change through improving their sense of self-efficacy, establishing effective patterns of behavior, and learning new ways to navigate challenges and distress.”

Rivian is an integrative therapist who uses a variety of cognitive behavioral approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure-based Treatments, Emotion-focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and my MS and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Memphis. She completed her Doctoral Internship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where she remains as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. Rivian sees clients live or virtually from our Brookline office.
